Who will become apprentice state champion?
This year the state championships for body construction technicians will take place in Mattersburg and for vehicle technicians in Pinkafeld from September 22nd to 23rd, 2022. The two professional groups will be reunited again for the joint award ceremony on September 23, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. in the orangery of Esterhazy Castle in Eisenstadt. "I am pleased that the joint state championships are taking place in Burgenland for the first time. My thanks go to everyone who helped to overcome the technical challenges," says Josef Wiener, state guild master of vehicle technicians in Burgenland.
In Austria, 105,793 young people are currently being trained in the dual system, which combines in-company practice with vocational school. “With 9,000 apprentices in 3,000 training companies, our industry is at the forefront,” says Roman Keglovits-Ackerer, Federal Guild Master of Automotive Technology, underlining the importance of this event.
