Cheap battery test for electric cars
The ÖAMTC is now offering a cost-effective battery check for electric cars, which was developed by the Lower Austrian start-up Aviloo.

Cheap battery test for electric cars
Aviloo was the first company in the world to develop a manufacturer-independent diagnostic process for drive batteries in electric vehicles. In collaboration with the ÖAMTC, this procedure has been offered at selected bases since June. Aviloo is now revolutionizing this diagnostic process: While a separate test drive was previously necessary, this can now be saved thanks to extensive technical innovations, reducing the price for the battery test from EUR 180 to EUR 99.
Determine residual value
There are currently more than 64,000 battery-electric vehicles on Austria's roads. However, in the growing used car market, the residual value is not so easy to determine because the traction battery sometimes accounts for more than 50 percent of the vehicle's value. Their condition is therefore crucial for determining a fair market residual value. “In the future, consumers will be able to easily carry out the Aviloo battery test over the course of several days as part of their normal journeys, for example to the office or shopping,” explains Aviloo CEO Wolfgang Berger. This represents a significant increase in comfort for consumers. Up until now, a separate test drive had to be carried out in one piece. “We are pleased that the Aviloo battery test has not only become easier, but that we can now offer our members this important test for EUR 99,” says ÖAMTC product manager Alexander Hrdliczka.
