“Our workshops are open with limited emergency services to ensure security of supply,” says BIM Josef Harb. In order to avoid layoffs, Harb uses short-time work or reduced vacation entitlement for its employees. There was an internal discussion within the company as to whether “opening for emergency services” would make sense and be responsible. “I have decided that the way we are doing it now makes sense,” said the Federal Guild Master, who negotiated the matter with the ministry.
