Fully taken off

With Obereder as a new brand sales partner for defined customers from the specialist workshop and industrial segments, Castrol wanted to further improve the supply of customers with high-quality products and services. Everything went completely according to plan, as both Castrol CEO Gerhard Wolf and Andreas Obereder (CEO Obereder) emphasize.

The family business, based in Sigharting, Upper Austria, is now run by members of two generations. The sons Andreas and Thomas Obereder are responsible for the specialist workshops and industry segments. Coming from the agricultural sector, Obereder expanded its range to include high-quality lubricants in 1998 and started selling AdBlue in 2007. Obereder is the market and quality leader here.

Continuation of the path to success

For Obereder, the partnership with Castrol is “the continuation of our path to success, a further step towards a full-range supplier and means an optimization of the product and service offering for customers,” explains Andreas Obereder in the KFZ Wirtschaft interview.

Meanwhile, Obereder has expanded the field sales team. In addition to Michael Drechsel (formerly Toyota Frey or Peugeot Austria), who will support Gerd Bernd Lang in the east and also take over the commercial vehicle division, Christian Kern will also take over the western region from October and be responsible for Salzburg, Tyrol and Vorarlberg. "Mr. Kern also has a lot of experience in the automotive industry. With these reinforcements we are well prepared for the future and will significantly increase our quality of support," says Andreas Obereder.

Obereder has also continued to invest in logistics. In addition to a 2,000 m² hall that will be built this year, the fleet was also expanded this year, including a new calibrated lubricant system, which will start operating in October. “This means we can serve our customers even faster with the usual quality with the brands Castrol, BP and Aral.”

Obereder continues: "In the AdBlue area, we also offer the right thing for the workshop with innovative solutions. Thanks to our many years of experience, we can provide advice to every customer and are also happy to help with questions of cost-effectiveness, e.g. whether a filling device is already worth it or whether another variant is currently even better for the company."
