Record sales at AVL DiTest

At the beginning of 2023, AVL DiTEST drew attention with a success report. Despite the difficult economic environment due to global crises and delivery bottlenecks, the global automotive diagnostics and measurement technology specialist based in Graz was able to more than double its sales from 51.4 million euros in 2020 to 112.5 million euros in 2022 within two years. "We were thrilled, our customers were thrilled. For 2023, it was already an ambitious goal to maintain this economic success and make the organizational changes that such growth requires. "We actually did not expect that we would increase sales further in our planning," says Gerald Lackner, CEO AVL DiTest, pleased about another record sales. The company, which has locations in Germany and China and representatives in 50 countries, increased its consolidated sales again by eleven percent to 125 million euros in 2023. Consolidated EBIT increased by a further 70 percent compared to the already outstanding year of 2022.

CEO Gerald Lackner thanks his team: "The AVL DiTEST employees enthusiastically implemented the long-term and clear corporate strategy. With the agile management of the company, which was implemented years ago, quick and precise coordination is possible - one of the foundations for the company's success." Now the vehicle industry is undergoing the greatest upheaval it has ever experienced. AVL DiTest plays a key role in this change and has made a significant contribution to the sustainable use of resources and the reduction of the carbon footprint with measuring and testing devices since it was founded in 1999. Lackner: "This success story is also underlined by renowned awards. A special highlight is first place at the Austria's Leading Companies Awards 2023 in the high-ranking Big Player category in Styria and a top 5 placement throughout Austria."

From an economic perspective, stabilizing success is the declared goal of the AVL DiTest management team for the next few years. This will lead to a shift in the distribution of sales. The proportion attributable to solutions for electromobility and alternative drive concepts will increase. The share that can be attributed to products for vehicles with classic combustion engines will decrease. “We are currently in the final phase of a project in the field of electromobility, which will bring us a significant boost in sales in the future,” says CEO Gerald Lackner in conclusion.
