K&K: The awakened” marten defense
Modern vehicles are equipped with more and more cables for sensors and control devices; electric vehicles also have the power cables between the battery and the motor. Unimpressed by this, the marten continues to wage its destructive territorial wars, which do not stop at even the most expensive technology. Marten repellent devices with self-sufficient battery operation are particularly recommended for electric cars and vehicles with long idle times, but are also ideal for all other engine generations. However, the advantage of independence from the vehicle electrical system comes at the price of a limited battery life. With traditional defense mechanisms, the running time of the integrated batteries is limited by the constant standby. The newly developed marten repellent device M9900 from K&K solves this problem by using an integrated sleep mode of the activation sensors to only use the AA batteries when there is contact and keep them on standby the rest of the time. If the marten brushes past the multi-contact high-voltage brush, the high voltage is triggered in a fraction of a second. Conclusion: This enables extremely efficient and extremely low energy consumption. A low battery indicator with LED provides early warning of the natural end of battery life due to age. The new helpful gadget from the marten defense specialist is practical for self-sufficient devices: The K&K Reminder app reminds you in good time to take a look at the integrated low battery display.
The high-voltage defense is essential, especially for particularly aggressive animals in territorial fights and “veterans” with altered hearing thresholds. The animal is only chased away, but not injured. The fur-penetrating K&K +/- high-voltage brushes have proven to be particularly effective, which is why they are also used in four versions on the M9900. In contrast to conventional contact plates, the stainless steel brushes comb through the fur, so that the intruder's entire body offers a surface for attack. With its watertight cast electronics, the device can be installed particularly deep in the engine compartment and thus acts as a "bouncer" for the marten's entry area that requires protection. The flexibly movable and expandable stainless steel brushes enable optimal adaptation to the respective engine compartment. If the hood is opened, the safety hood switch immediately reduces the high voltage on the contact plates, thus enabling safe work. Further information: www.kuk-marderwehr.de/M9900
