Intelligent charging station
The charging technology specialist go-e manages the energy flows of buildings to optimize the charging of electric cars.

“Our controller enables a graphical representation of power consumption in real time and in the past,” explains go-e founder Peter Pötzi. "It is used to record measured values in an electrical distribution system and make them available in a network. This means that charging processes on the car can be smartly controlled depending on the position of the sun and current power requirements." If the PV system is on the roof, homeowners do everything they can to maximize their own consumption. This can be achieved in particular by starting and stopping charging electric cars in a timely manner. Understanding the impact of energy flows over time requires a comprehensive picture of solar power generation, distribution and consumption. The controller handles this task automatically. In addition to PV excess control, the built-in device can also implement dynamic load management with chargers from go-e.
The house connection is never overloaded, even with a large number of electricity consumers running at the same time. The controller therefore protects against internal “blackouts” and helps to avoid expensive network peaks. It also permanently transmits the current performance values of the system, including battery storage, to all connected go-e chargers. It controls an unlimited number of chargers so that they charge electric cars when there is enough electricity available. The go-e controller is compatible with all PV inverters and power storage solutions. There is no lack of interfaces for connecting to existing solutions: In addition to HTTP API, MQTT and Modbus, there is also a cloud API to integrate the go-e controller. The optional cloud connection is not necessary for the dynamic load management and PV excess charging functions.
