“Unfortunately, the current situation surrounding the corona virus does not stop at our business,” says Helmut Stuphann. Vehicle manufacturing and trading were shut down and some workshop chains also interrupted their branch operations. Fortunately, vehicle repair shops are part of the basic service and remain open for vehicle repairs and maintenance. “Nevertheless, the already sharp decline in private customer business will decline even further,” expects Stuphann. The Bosch Group is therefore responding to the drastically falling demand with a controlled shutdown of production, parts of the sales and administrative functions and also in the Bosch Automotive Aftermarket area to an average of 50 percent. “We have informed our workshop partners that we will continue to be there as a competent partner and that, as a concept center, we will constantly keep an eye on the current situation,” explains the Bosch Aftermarket boss. In-person training and quality measures such as audits or workshop tests are suspended until further notice, but Bosch is offering over 30 online courses such as web-based training or multimedia lectures. “Our planned marketing and advertising activities are particularly important right now, so we are continuing them,” says Stuphann. Users can now use the new “MyBoschCarService” tool to query prices online and book their next workshop appointment.
