Automechanisa 2024: K&K marten defense

Marten damage to vehicles increases massively every year, especially during the summer mating season for these cute furry animals. Marten defense specialist K&K presented itself to a broad European audience for the third time this year at the Automechanisa in Frankfurt. It's not just in Germany that the amount of damage in the event of a bite has increased significantly. According to the General Association of the German Insurance Industry GDV, the 100 million mark was broken for the first time last year. But insurers in neighboring countries such as Austria are also increasingly reporting expensive bite damage to vehicles.

K&K marketing manager Sophia Niedermayer presents innovative solutions at the 44 square meter exhibition stand. The focus of the presentation was on high-voltage solutions specifically for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, because with these types of drive in particular, the damage in the event of a marten bite is often disproportionately expensive. The product repertoire of the German marten defense specialist also includes special ultrasonic solutions and an anti-marten spray. "The eucalyptus-based agent is simply sprayed into the engine compartment every few weeks and actually keeps the martens away. Studies have proven its effectiveness," explains Niedermayer.
