UFI supplies transmission oil filters to Hyundai Motor Group for the first time

UFI Filters enters the market for passenger car transmission oil filters with a supply contract. In the future, the company will equip several Hyundai Motor Group models, including Hyundai i30, Tucson, Santa Fe as well as Kia Ceed, Sportage and Sorento, with its products. The filters are manufactured in the South Korean UFI factory, which specializes in components for local manufacturers.

The filters are based on the in-house medium FormulaUFI.Extreme, which is used in a two-layer configuration to achieve high filter performance with low pressure loss. This reliably removes particles from the gear oil, which extends the service life of the gears and increases operational safety.

The UFI filters are used in various transmission variants: in eight-speed transmissions, sometimes in conjunction with electric oil pumps, and in hybrid models with six-speed transmissions with an adapted filter type. The cooperation marks UFI's entry into a new segment and strengthens the company's role as a technology partner to the automotive industry.
