Vredestein: Tires for classic cars
Vredestein, also known for its classic car tires, sees growing demand for classic car tires and is expanding its range accordingly.

Vredestein: Tires for classic cars
“Vehicles from the 70s, 80s and 90s, so-called youngtimers, are becoming increasingly popular,” says Formula 1 champion and Vredestein brand ambassador Jochen Mass. "Strictly speaking, they are almost classic cars. Unfortunately, the manufacturers have already stopped producing original tires for these vehicles. The owners are therefore forced to equip their classic cars with more modern tires, which are often not optimal from an aesthetic point of view." Therefore, Vredestein now produces tires specifically for the older vehicles. The youngtimer tires will come onto the market in September 2018 under the name Sprint+. A very special model is the first tire in this segment: a tire in size 215/50 R15 for the legendary Audi Urquattro. This tire size (price to be announced) has not been available for a long time. “By the first half of 2019, there should be around ten different tire sizes for classic cars,” emphasizes Michele Sala, product manager for passenger car tires at Apollo Vredestein.
