Tire fitters wanted
The VRÖ is launching an image campaign to interest urgently needed skilled workers in the tire industry.

Tire fitters wanted
The VRÖ (Association of Austrian Tire Specialists) is responsible for coordinating the image and job campaign “Tires Go Jobs” and the execution is carried out by the motor magazine GO! The entire spectrum of the tire sector is shown in order to guide young people, career changers and also trained professionals to new and interesting jobs. The job profile is presented in articles each lasting 3 to 4 minutes, followed by the diverse areas of responsibility. At the end of each article, a “Call for Action” is embedded, in which the general conditions of the vacancies are described and the corresponding contact points are presented. The aim is to inspire young people for jobs in the tire industry and to invite them to apply.
Participating partners include industry giants such as point-S, TRT, AutoPlus, Euromaster, First Stop and ContiTrade with support from tire manufacturers Bridgestone, Continental, Michelin and Pirelli. “Tires Go Jobs” is not intended to be a “recruiting machine” for apprentices, but a new opportunity to emotionalize job profiles and to encourage career changers who watch a weekly half-hour mobility magazine to develop their desire to switch to the automotive environment. VRÖ chairman James Tennant said: "We at VRÖ are proud that we were able to implement this campaign. It's great that there is solidarity in the industry when there is a need."
