With average prices rising again, this resulted in an increase in value of 3%. While winter tire sales benefited from the cold February and March, winter tires suffered significantly from the late summer temperatures in the fourth quarter. Sales of summer tires, which were still slow in March, really took off in the warmest April since 1800. However, the strongest growth impulse was once again provided by all-season tires, which are likely to benefit most from the increased temperatures in the future.
