Bridgestone takes over German tire retail group

Under the brand names Reiff, Netto and ABS, REIFF Reifen und Autotechnik GmbH operates a network of 42 branches in southern Germany as well as a tire retreading plant, all of which are part of the takeover. The tire retail group has more than 500 employees. The acquisition is in line with Bridgestone's three-pillar strategy to become a leading mobility solutions provider through a focus on premium tires, trusted mobility solutions and customer-centric retail networks. The acquisition was signed on May 1, 2020 and is expected to close on June 1, 2020, subject to approval from the relevant authorities.
