Bridgestone is pulling the ripcord in Russia
Bridgestone has assessed the impact of the war in Ukraine and, as a result, decided to suspend production activities in Russia until further notice. The decision will come into force next Friday, March 18, 2022, after the necessary preparations. The company has also decided to freeze all new investments and stop all exports to Russia with immediate effect.
Bridgestone assures that it will continue to look after the more than 1,000 employees at the passenger car tire production plant in Ulyanovsk and the sales offices - including with financial support.
As the situation progresses, Bridgestone's global and regional management will continue to closely monitor the situation and flexibly adjust plans as necessary. It is assumed that production output outside of Russia will remain stable in the coming weeks.
