Bridgestone, Hopium and the future of mobility

Bridgestone is collaborating with Hopium, the first French manufacturer of hydrogen-powered vehicles, to develop premium tires for its high-end Hopium Machina sedan. The project is impressive…

The aim of the partnership is to increase the vehicle's range using tailor-made tires with low rolling resistance. The tire design uses Bridgestone's virtual tire development technology, which offers significant advantages in terms of efficiency and sustainability.

As part of its overarching Bridgestone E8 Commitment, the company is committed to supporting the realization of a sustainable society by creating social and customer-focused value together with its partners across all areas of activity and business.

"Since its founding, Hopium's aim has been to work with the world's most renowned industrial companies. This is an important milestone in our ambitious future plan," says Olivier Lombard, CEO and founder of Hopium. “Bridgestone has pioneering know-how in the development of tires and tire technologies for modern forms of mobility, which will help us meet the challenges that lie ahead.”

“The exciting partnership with Hopium once again underlines our support for the next generation of pioneers of innovative mobility,” says Steven De Bock, VP Consumer Replacement and OE, Bridgestone EMIA. “We put our experience and expert knowledge at the service of a true pioneer in the field of emission-free mobility and thus contribute to a more sustainable future of mobility.”
