The new shopping cart with dynamic pricing enables suppliers to offer attractive prices even for small quantities (item price under 20 euros). When ordering small parts in the shopping cart, the system suggests the optimal purchase quantity to customers in order to get the best possible item price. This represents an improvement over previous practice. Until now, for small parts or parts with very low prices, shipping costs were included directly in the product prices. This was not initially visible to users, and low-priced items were not attractively priced. “With the current logic, prices are actually reduced to the product prices, which leads to more transparency and cheaper prices,” says Michael Saitow, CEO and founder of Alzura AG, operator of the B2B platform Alzura Tyre24.
In the first step, the shopping cart function is available in Austria for the product areas of automotive spare parts and accessories, with other product areas to follow. The shopping cart has been designed to be user-friendly and clear and allows multiple providers to be recorded. Merchants can order the entire shopping cart or items from a specific supplier. The expected delivery times are displayed for each supplier. Express items are also processed by the new shopping cart. Thanks to the product image, the name given and the quantity, the commercial customer can see exactly which products they have chosen from which supplier. The unit price is displayed as well as the total price depending on the number of items selected. For each stored item, all relevant product information can be displayed with one click, as well as all information about the selected supplier. Buyers can also collect items from individual suppliers until they reach the limit for free delivery. This is 59 euros for the Basic Marketplace Account; for the Premium Marketplace Account there is freight-free delivery from 0 euros. This account offers further advantages for the workshops with buyer protection and a best price guarantee.
