No crisis!
2021 was another financial year marked by corona. Alzura Tire 24 has found its way to success despite difficult conditions. How? Due to advancing digitalization.

No crisis!
The B2B automotive aftermarket platform Alzura Tyre24 looks back on a very successful 2021 financial year in Austria. Last year, despite the effects of the corona pandemic, the platform presented itself as a reliable partner for the domestic automotive industry and was able to further expand its market shares. There was high growth last year in both the tire and parts sectors. Overall, there was an 8.5 percent increase in the number of tires sold in Austria. In the area of all-season tires, an increase of ten percent was even achieved in 2021. Winter tire sales rose by 9.7 percent compared to 2020, and summer tires by six percent. There was also improvement in the area of automotive spare parts, with orders increasing by 35 percent. Growth of 50 percent was even achieved across countries. And one must not forget: the pandemic is still in full swing.
"The positive impulse for our parts business since the outbreak of the corona pandemic in 2020 has continued across countries in the last year. In addition, growth has been spurred on by the general change in the market - from which eCommerce is benefiting greatly. More and more workshops are realizing the general suitability of vehicle spare parts for parcel shipping and that they would do well to use alternative (online) purchasing sources such as our platform for their procurement in order to improve margins and ultimately returns in the future," says Michael Saitow, CEO and founder of Saitow AG, operator of the B2B platform Alzura Tyre24.
"In times of a market that is constantly under pressure, optimizing the procurement of required materials - including tires or vehicle spare parts - is one of the most important disciplines for every workshop. Especially in purchasing, this sets the course for the operating result. A marketplace like Alzura Tyre24 not only offers a much deeper and broader product variety and a higher availability of goods than the regional parts wholesaler, but also significant price advantages that can be used by customers," continues Michael Saitow.
