Tire Cologne should take place as planned

The Tire Cologne 2022 is ready for a successful restart and, as a leading international industry event, will ensure the important revival of business. This was underlined by Koelnmesse as the organizer and the BRV, Federal Association of Tire Trade and Vulcaniseur-Handwerk e.V., as the ideal sponsor during a digital press talk with over sixty international specialist journalists on January 26, 2022.

“Trade fairs are particularly important now for the restart of the respective industries – as a source of inspiration and catalyst,” says Oliver Frese, Managing Director of Koelnmesse. "We are well prepared and our safety and hygiene concepts have already proven successful in autumn 2021, for example at Anuga with 4,500 exhibitors and 70,000 visitors. We are looking forward to May and The Tire Cologne, which we will finally be holding in Cologne again after the premiere in 2018." For Stephan Helm, Chairman of the BRV, The Tire Cologne also plays a crucial role with its leadership function: “We are confident that The Tire Cologne can shake the industry out of “digital fatigue” and that the revived personal exchange between trade fair participants on the TTC industry platform will give the industry new, positive impulses in a market environment that continues to be challenging.” The event will take place in Cologne from May 24th to 26th, 2022.

Michelin is there live

Anish Taneja, President and CEO of Michelin Northern Europe, confirmed the global big player's participation in the trade fair. "The Tire Cologne is the most important networking trade fair for our B2B business in the Northern Europe region and beyond. We appreciate meeting all the important partners and dealers here to discuss important topics such as the future of the tire and mobility industry itself, and to exchange ideas and visions. In particular, we are also looking forward to good discussions with our fleet customers and the opportunity to physically make new contacts again - of course under the given hygiene regulations, which we take very seriously."

Around 300 companies and brands from over 30 countries are currently expected in Cologne at The Tire Cologne 2022 to present their products and services. “In addition to Michelin, Continental, Falken, Hankook, Pirelli and numerous other tire manufacturers have also registered,” confirms Ingo Riedeberger, Director of The Tire Cologne. The company is also representative and well positioned in the areas of service and workshop as well as retreading. In addition, The Tire Cologne offers additional added value with a digital content offering with the TTC @home. "The curated content of the TIRE Stage is streamed live and the contributions are also made available as VOD - i.e. as video on demand beyond the trade fair period. So you don't miss anything, but you can also watch it after the trade fair," explained Riedeberger. The TTC app also enables and supports the important development of networks and contacts as well as direct appointment coordination.

New to The Tire Cologne’s event program is the “Boulevard of Sustainability”. Located centrally on the trade fair boulevard, the sustainable life cycle of the tire is put in the spotlight. Top-class conferences, such as the Global Retreading Conference, as well as themed areas and special shows provide additional information and emotional inspiration.

The Tire Cologne is aimed at tire manufacturers, tire retailers, automotive service providers, workshop suppliers, recycling specialists, retreaders and all companies associated with the tire and automotive segment. The international industry trade fair is organized by Koelnmesse and the Federal Association of Tire Trade and Vulcanizer Crafts e.V. (BRV) as sponsors.
