Reifen John: Cooperation with Stahlgruber
When it comes to WORKSHOP EQUIPMENT, automotive spare parts and consumables, Reifen John traditionally relies on full-range Stahlgruber suppliers. The KFZ Wirtschaft paid a visit to the cooperation partners in the new Reifen-John branch in Vienna-Meidling.
Reifen John: Cooperation with Stahlgruber
The traditional family business Reifen John, with its 33 branches (22 in Austria, 11 in Bavaria), has stood for much more than just a full-range tire trade for over 90 years. It always saw itself as a professional service provider for everything related to automobiles. For tire specialists and professional service providers, the highest quality standards are a given. In 2012, Reifen John was recognized as a “certified specialist company” because of its high level of quality. The individual specialist companies are regularly tested in terms of workshops, sales points, customer service and staff. The service portfolio is broad: car and light truck tire changes, §57a inspection, vehicle service, balancing, wheel washing, storage, wheel alignment and motorcycle tire service are just an excerpt from the overall offering. In addition to the highest quality standards, Reifen John also attaches great importance to being an integrated trading and service partner for the tire and vehicle industry.

COOPERATION WITH STAHLGRUBER
The company's claim to the highest quality is also reflected in the choice of cooperation partners. Hermann Kowarz, Managing Director of Stahlgruber Austria, is proud of the fact that Reifen John has been Stahlgruber Austria's longest-standing customer: "Our cooperation has always been characterized by handshake quality, trust and respect," says Kowarz. Thomas Hammerschmid, Managing Director of Reifen John, emphasizes that product quality is always the priority, not the price. "This has traditionally worked perfectly with Stahlgruber. Our high expectations are met both in terms of product quality and service," says Reifen John-GF Hammerschmid in an interview with KFZ Wirtschaft. When it comes to workshop equipment, automotive spare parts and consumables (balancing weights, valves, etc.), Stahlgruber is Reifen John's main partner.
SHOWCASE BRANCH
The new branch on Sagedergasse in Vienna-Meidling has the most modern equipment of all Reifen John branches. Whether it's lifting platforms, emissions testing systems, brake testers or tire changers, Stahlgruber, a full-range supplier, has it all. What counts has been trust for decades. And so there is not even a written framework agreement for the cooperation, and there is not even a need for a written order.
Handshake quality counts. “Oliver Michael is product manager for workshop equipment at Stahlgruber Austria and is also a renowned tire expert and therefore the ideal contact for us,” explains Otto Reuckl, regional manager for Eastern and Southern Austria at Reifen John. Reifen John-GF Hammerschmid emphasizes that the company will primarily expand in metropolitan areas. In general, the service in the individual branches is becoming increasingly important. "The quality of service must be continuously improved. The tire retailer is approaching car dealership standards."
