The TPMS sensors supplied by Alcar fit perfectly." When it comes to TPMS, people generally think of tires. In fact, the rims are the crux of the matter. "The choice of tires is irrelevant when installing the TPMS sensors, but the rims are. Because these must offer enough space behind the valve opening for the sensor installation." The wide range of Alcar's product portfolio does not mean that it is difficult to find compatible wheel and sensor pairings. "We tested all of our wheel designs for compatibility with various sensors. Most Alcar wheels would work perfectly with the well-known OE and aftermarket sensors, but Alcar didn't just want to react passively to TPMS and developed the Alcar T-ProSensor. This is optimized for the sensor-critical wheels in the range, which do not allow general approval of OE and aftermarket sensors.
"As a multi-protocol sensor, the Alcar T-ProSensor can be used universally and covers many well-known vehicle programs. Cloning of OE sensors within the saved programs is also possible. The sensor is already mounted with the valve and can therefore be installed without additional assembly effort," says Thaller.
