Liqui Moly with production record
Liqui Moly, the German lubricants company based in Ulm, was able to produce over 100,000 tons for the first time - despite difficult conditions.

Liqui Moly with production record
Liqui Moly produced more this year than ever before: 105,000 tons of lubricants - 27 percent more than last year. “For the first time we have exceeded the 100,000 tonne mark,” says managing director Ernst Prost. “What would already be a strong performance is even more impressive given the adverse conditions.” These adverse conditions include the shortage of raw materials, which not only upset the price structure but also led to real bottlenecks, as well as distortions in global logistics, which made it equally difficult to first obtain the raw materials and then ship the finished products to customers. And all of this against the background of increasingly numerous and increasingly difficult to produce types of oil, which makes production even more complex.
Production volumes rose this year not only for oils, but also for additives. A total of 16.3 million cans with the additives for fuel, oil and coolant rolled off the assembly line - an increase of 14 percent compared to 2020. "The fact that we managed to do this is thanks to our great team, who overcame the hurdles with a lot of improvisational talent and flexibility," says Ernst Prost. “And it pays off that we continually invest in modernizing production and logistics.”
