According to statistics from across Europe, batteries are the MAIN CAUSE OF BREAKDOWNS. This is associated with inconvenience and costs for drivers. However, if the right battery is chosen from the start, the risk of battery discharge in winter can be significantly reduced.

If a battery failure occurs and it needs to be replaced, it is strongly advisable to choose a suitable model that meets the requirements of the car manufacturer and corresponds to the driving style. In addition, they offer additional performance. “Intelligent alternators and regenerative braking systems in vehicles with a start-stop system ensure optimal energy recovery, maximum fuel savings and lower CO2 emissions,” says the expert. “With our EFB batteries with Carbon Boost 2.0 for start-stop drive systems, the service life of conventional drives can also be extended.”

Both battery ranges keep aftermarket customers at the cutting edge of energy efficiency. Drivers also benefit from lower operating costs thanks to fuel savings and less frequent battery replacements. Using an advanced battery tester, such as the EBT965P battery tester from Exide Technologies, mechanics can check the condition of the battery. Algorithms developed by Exide provide the necessary data to advise the customer whether the battery should be checked again or replaced. “The most important advice, however, is to have the battery professionally checked all year round,” says the expert.
