Denso celebrates its 75th anniversary

As a global Fortune 500 company, Denso is now the second largest parts and systems provider in the world based on revenue. In its 75th year, the company is in an exciting phase, transforming from a “Tier 1 supplier supporting the automotive industry” to a “Tier 1 supplier supporting a mobility-focused society”. To this end, Denso will invest 63 billion euros in research and development over the next ten years to achieve the goal of zero emissions and zero traffic deaths in mobility and society, as Denso President and COO Shinnosuke Hayashi announced at the end of last year.

With a major anniversary event focused on motorsport, Denso Aftermarket wants to remind independent workshops of its numerous pioneering achievements as an automotive supplier of thermal, drive, mobility, electrification and electronic systems for car manufacturers. The anniversary event includes a packed day of experiences, starting with a museum and facility tour at Toyota Gazoo Racing Europe (TGR-E). TGR-E and Denso have a long-standing partnership in both the Endurance and World Rally Championships. In the afternoon, the participants can put their karting skills to the test in an action-packed challenge including an award ceremony and trophies. The day ends with a joint visit to an original Cologne brewery.

In its anniversary year, Denso also wants to emphasize its commitment to the aftermarket to its trading partners. The specialist retail partners are therefore invited to an experience and networking day in November. The varied program consists of tours through the Denso Climate Competence Center in Eching, lectures on future topics with Denso experts from OE and aftermarket, as well as exciting insights into state-of-the-art automobile construction on a factory tour (BMW) in Munich. The conclusion is Motorworld Munich – a meeting place for driving culture, lifestyle and much more. David Richter, DACH sales manager at Denso Aftermarket emphasizes: "Our customers are still our main concern and we want to help them master the challenges of a changing market. We are looking forward to an inspiring anniversary event with enough time for networking and exchange with our valued partners from the specialist trade."
