Continental is expanding its range of spare parts and is bringing a comprehensive range of original equipment quality thermostats onto the market for the first time under the brand name “Continental”. The range of thermostats includes four product groups: replacement, insert, housing and map thermostats. The thermostats from all four product groups can be ordered now. With a total of 180 part numbers, the thermostat program had a market coverage of 70 percent when it was launched.

In the course of 2022 it should be almost 90 percent. "We are making consistent progress in expanding our portfolio and strengthening the Continental brand. By adding thermostats to our aftermarket portfolio, we are taking another step towards our vision of offering workshops everything from a single source," explains Peter Wagner, head of the Automotive Aftermarket business segment at Continental.

The new range of thermostats for the automotive aftermarket offers workshops and retailers not only raw thermostats with suitable sealing rings - i.e. the classic replacement thermostats - but also a wide range of insert thermostats with suitable sealing sets for installation in intact housings and engine components. In the third product group, Continental has packed raw and insert thermostats with the appropriate housings. The replacement sets fully comply with OE specifications in terms of quality, fit, form and function. The same applies to the fourth product group: the map thermostats. These are controlled electronically and ensure that the engine reaches its operating temperature more quickly. Continental's strict OE standards were also applied to them.
