Bridgestone shows new endurance runner technology
The tire manufacturer promises no less than 30 percent more mileage with six percent less rolling resistance. And that's what lies behind it.

Bridgestone shows new endurance runner technology
Techsyn is the name of the new technology that was developed in a three-way collaboration between Bridgestone, Arlanxeo and Solvay. Each partner contributed their special skills: Arlanxeo is a leading global manufacturer of synthetic rubber. Solvay is a scientific company and world market leader in HDS Silica. Bridgestone brings its tire know-how.
Techsyn combines chemically optimized synthetic rubber with custom-made silica that interact at the molecular level. This means that excellent performance can be achieved without having to make any compromises. Every material found in Techsyn was developed in parallel by the three companies to create a tire technology platform that aims to deliver unrivaled performance. Thanks to Techsyn, the tires are said to be able to achieve up to 30 percent improved wear behavior and up to six percent reduced rolling resistance compared to conventional Bridgestone premium summer tires in the EMIA region. And now comes the highlight: without having to accept any loss in other tire properties. The technology can be used for all types of tires and is also compatible with Bridgestone's Enlite lightweight technology.
Techsyn aims to ensure the sustainable performance of tires by reducing overall fuel consumption and CO2-Reduces emissions while increasing mileage. The result should be tires that need to be changed less often and reduce the consumption of raw materials in the long term.
