Bridgestone helps the racehorse have more grip
Bridgestone has been chosen by Ferrari as a tire supplier for the Italian manufacturer's latest Gran Tourismo, the Ferrari Roma. Ferrari was looking for a tire that would deliver the performance of the 620 hp, rear-wheel drive Roma to the road in both dry and wet conditions. In collaboration with Bridgestone, the Bridgestone Potenza Sport has been specially tuned to meet the specific requirements of the Ferrari Roma.
The specially tailored Bridgestone Potenza Sport is currently available for the Ferrari Roma in sizes 245/35ZR20 91Y and 285/35ZR20 (100Y). The tire was developed and produced at Bridgestone's EMIA Technology and Innovation Center in Rome. The factory in Rome specializes in the production of tailor-made tires using state-of-the-art technology, enabling a direct link between the development team and production. The factory usually produces Bridgestone EMIA tire prototypes - however, as part of the Ferrari Roma project, OE tires are being produced here for the first time and are mounted directly on the Roma.
