Brembo opens its first competence center based in Silicon Valley in California - USA. The new research laboratory, called “Brembo Inspiration Lab,” will primarily focus on expanding the company’s capabilities in the areas of software, data science and artificial intelligence. The opening of the Group Competence Center is a further step in the development of a leading solution provider and aims to accelerate the digitalization of the company. This is one of the objectives of the strategic vision “Turning Energy into Inspiration” presented by Daniele Schillaci, CEO of Brembo, in September 2020.
The Brembo Inspiration Lab is scheduled to go into operation in the fourth quarter of 2021 and aims to bring together creative minds from the core area, but especially from cross-industry disciplines. The aim is to create teams with an optimal combination of different skills with the aim of driving forward the development of future Brembo braking solutions.
With the opening of the new technology center, Brembo is expanding its international presence and expanding in North America. The company has been present in the United States for over 30 years and currently has a manufacturing facility in Homer and a research and development center in Plymouth, both in Michigan. Brembo's new competence center will also be a central location for customers in Silicon Valley - both in terms of the development of technological solutions and in terms of business relationships.
