Mercedes-Benz is also going fully electric
The premium brand Mercedes-Benz has big goals by 2030. Star drivers will no longer have to go to the gas pump in the future.

Mercedes-Benz is also going fully electric
Mercedes-Benz is setting the course for a fully electric future: by the end of the decade, the brand wants to be ready to go fully electric – wherever market conditions allow. The motto: from “Electric first” to “Electric only”.
By 2022, Mercedes-Benz will offer battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in all segments in which the brand is represented. Starting in 2025, all new vehicle architectures will be exclusively electric, and buyers will have a fully electric alternative to choose from for every model. As part of the transformation, Mercedes-Benz is sticking to its profitability goals.
"Electromobility is gaining momentum - especially in the luxury segment, where Mercedes-Benz is at home. The tipping point is approaching and we will be ready when the markets fully switch to electric cars by the end of the decade," said Ola Källenius, CEO of Daimler AG and Mercedes-Benz AG.
The company is significantly increasing investments in research and development. In total, more than 40 billion euros are earmarked for investments in battery-electric vehicles between 2022 and 2030.
