Harald Kilzer has been responsible for the management of Apollo Vredestein Austria since May 1, 2017. He has partly achieved his primary goals and partly numerous framework conditions are currently being optimized. Kilzer has currently improved the internal structures with the aim of ensuring that salespeople are more in touch with customers again. The current team is well positioned. Kilzer himself acts as managing director for Austria, Slovenia and Croatia. Nikica Majic is Key Account Manager for Passenger Car Tires and Bernhard Schmolz is Key Account Manager for Agricultural and Industrial Tires. Apart from that, Harald Kilzer is currently looking for an area manager for Slovenia and Croatia in order to further optimize the team.

ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT

According to Kilzer, Apollo Vredestein's move into original equipment was essential to "making volume." This means they are present in the fleet and leasing segment. The automobile manufacturers' commitment to Apollo Vredestein is proof of the high quality and exquisite design of the products, said Kilzer in an interview with KFZ Wirtschaft. Apollo Tires has a car and truck tire factory in Gyöngyöshalasz, Hungary, around 80 km from Budapest. The annual production of 5.5 million car and 675,000 truck tires is planned. All tests for original equipment certification also take place here. Apollo Vredestein made in Europe, so to speak.

“The step into original equipment was an essential step in order to achieve volumes.”HARALD KILZER, CEO APOLLO VREDESTEIN
