Accessories premiere at BASF
In mid-May, BASF Coatings Services invited people to the annual ACCESSORIES FAIR in Eugendorf for the first time in the spring. In addition to numerous products from well-known exhibitors, there was also a presentation of the accessories portfolio from the in-house premium brand Rodim for the first time.
Accessories premiere at BASF
The BASF accessories trade fair at the BASF Coatings Services site in the Eugendorf industrial park is one of the annual fixtures in the painting industry. Almost all well-known manufacturers and suppliers of accessories for paint workshops were represented again this year, including 3M, Rupes, Sata, De Vilbiss, B-Tec, Teroson Henkel, Motip, E.M.M. International, Horn & Bauer or Andest Iwata GmbH. “For the first time, we are also exhibiting the products of our own premium accessories brand Rodim,” said Christine Steingass, managing director of the BASF branch in Eugendorf. Together with Norbert Grimmeisen, sales manager for Austria and twelve other countries in Central Europe, she posed for the press photo with a spectacular show bike that won the Pannonia Custom Award 2017. It is a matter of honor that paints from the BASF premium brand R-M were used for the magnificent paintwork.
PERFECT COMPLETION
“The Rodim accessories range is tailored precisely to our paint portfolio,” explained Christine Steingass. The product range extends from occupational safety to sandpaper, masking films, paint guns and workshop equipment. With the Rodim brand, BASF Coatings offers its own premium non-paint range. “We do not manufacture the products ourselves, but work closely with large suppliers,” said Steingass. The highest value is placed on the quality of the products in order to meet the premium standards. The Rodim catalog includes, among other things, an extensive range of films and adhesive tapes that can be used to cover all vehicle parts. There is also a large selection of sanding discs with different grain sizes for every surface, as well as mixing cups in different sizes, which make it easier to work while saving time and materials. To protect the health of the painter, the Rodim range also includes gloves and complete painter suits.

INTENSE CUSTOMER SUPPORT
Around 250 visitors gathered in Eugendorf on this sunny afternoon and frequented both the exhibitors' presentation stands and the barbecue and drinks buffet. “The industry's interest in this event is still great,” said Antje Strohmeier, BASF Regional Marketing Manager. “With the trade fair we offer our customers the opportunity to find out about the latest trends and developments in the painting sector.” From Eugendorf, BASF supports all customers in Austria with products from the Glasurit and R-M brands. The BASF training center is also located at the Eugendorf location. Every year, over 1,000 visitors from all over Europe are familiarized with the latest painting technology in various courses.
