Standox shortens working hours
STANDOX is expanding its Xtreme system to help domestic paint shops reduce working time in the cabin. The goal is more throughput.

Standox shortens working hours
In order to paint new parts quickly and with high quality, Standox has expanded the Xtreme system to include the VOC-Xtreme wet-on-wet filler U7650. In combination with the Standoblue base coat and the VOC Xtreme clear coat K9580, high-quality painting of new parts can be achieved in just 36 minutes. This is quick and – according to Standox – not possible with any other system solution. With the Standocryl VOC-Xtreme filler U7600, Standox also offers a quick-drying sanding filler for all other repairs. It has been proven that occupancy times in the cabin can be reduced by 25 percent with this system. Companies can therefore process more orders per day and noticeably increase their throughput.
SHORT DRYING TIMES
The advantage of the Xtreme system is said to be the fast drying times at 60 °C, 40 °C or even 20 °C. How it is used is decided by users depending on workshop utilization. Either they rely on speed with a short cabin throughput or on reduced energy consumption with a lower order volume. The fact is: drying at 20 °C enables energy savings of up to 70 percent. But even at higher temperatures, the Xtreme products can still save energy costs by up to 25 percent.
SHORT FLASH-OFF TIME
The VOC Xtreme wet-on-wet filler U7650 sets new standards in the painting of new parts not only through short flash-off times, but also through excellent stability on vertical surfaces and a particularly good top coat level. After just five minutes, the filler can be painted over or lightly sanded as needed. The new fountain pen is available in white, gray and black. Like all other components of the Xtreme system, it is easy and safe to process and achieves high-gloss results after clear coat application.
LOW ENERGY CONSUMPTION
With the Standox Xtreme system, which uses, among other things, patented Axalta technology, the entire paint structure can be dried in an energy-efficient manner at 40 °C or even 20 °C. The short drying times also enable a vehicle to be repaired on the same day.
