Location offensive at Carglass
With a nationwide presence at 28 locations, the car glass specialist wants to be the first point of contact throughout Austria when it comes to repairing stone chip damage or replacing car windows as well as the associated recalibration of driver assistance systems. After the opening of numerous new branches last year, a branch was opened this year in Parndorf in Burgenland and in Leibnitz in Styria. “The new locations are a clear statement of the great importance of the Austrian market, and we are sure that more will be added,” says Galina Herzig, Managing Director of Carglass Austria. “Auto glass is our profession, our passion, our full-time job,” explains Dusan Kalinic, Head of Sales and Expansion, responsible for Carglass’ location development in Austria.
Increasing complexity
Repairing car glass damage has become significantly more demanding in recent years, as the mandatory driver assistance systems usually also have to be recalibrated after a window replacement. Carglass invested early on in the technical infrastructure and in the training of all employees. Carglass employs around 145 people in Austria, and further branch openings are being planned in Fürstenfeld, Vorarlberg, Tyrol and in the 23rd district of Vienna in the first half of 2025. The company belongs to the Belron family, which, from its origins in South Africa, now operates the world's largest company specializing in repairing vehicle glass damage. The group employs a total of around 26,000 people and is active in 35 countries on six continents.
