Revolution in the paint booth
AKZONOBEL invited regional customers to an exclusive expert meeting in Kirchberg am Wagram and provided information about industry topics and innovations. Rally star Johannes Keferböck was guest of honor and also a speaker.

Revolution in the paint booth
The agenda of the expert meeting included current market developments and AkzoNobel's Paint PerformAir (PPA). The partners' top topics included at Sika: "Professional window bonding for windshields that need to be calibrated" and at sia Abrasives: "Optimization opportunities in the preparation process". For Daniel Kapeller, Sales Manager Austria, the industry is changing. For him, topics such as electromobility, the increasing complexity of vehicle construction and the decline in claims volume due to assistance systems make up an important part of these market changes. The sales manager relies on a constant exchange of information: “We need platforms to exchange information, so we can keep our customers up to date on innovations and are always close to the market.”
PAINT PERFORMAIR
The technological highlight of the event was the PPA, which was presented live to customers. With its innovative features, the device sets new standards for every painting process. The PPA has been on the market since January 2020. Andreas Graf, Managing Director of Auto Graf GmbH and AkzoNobel customer, is convinced of this technology and at the same time curious about the positive influence that the Paint PerformAir will have on the costs and the work process. In around two weeks he will be the first Austrian customer to put the PPA into operation.

Other important topics that are also becoming more important in Austria are the growing demands from fleets, insurance companies and property tax companies. Here, AkzoNobel offers the largest network in the industry: "As part of Acoat Selected, our customers are always on the safe side, because as a DACH network we also benefit from the synergies that we draw from developments in other countries. This is a great advantage, especially in the area of claims management. The support is far-sighted and comprehensive, so that customers are prepared for all the challenges that the market brings with it - today and in the future," emphasizes Daniel Kapeller.
