More than a paint supplier”

Ewald Munk (AkzoNobel), Franz Pfaller und Daniel Kapeller (AkzoNobel) v.l.

It all started in 1973 when Franz Pfaller opened his car dealership in Neustift near Kirchberg am Wagram. It started as a partner of the Volvo brand. In the mid-80s, the car dealership and repair business was relocated to Tulln. The starting signal as a Mazda authorized dealer was given. A new showroom and a new workshop were built. In 1992, both a plumbing shop and a paint shop were added. Three years later, the Pfaller car dealership added Kia to its brand portfolio. The year 1998 was marked by major changes: a new Volvo showroom was built. The Mazda showroom has been significantly expanded. And direct acceptance was introduced. A car wash was added in 2003. The Pfaller car dealership currently employs 20 people and sells around 320 new cars per year. CEO Franz Pfaller has been working as an automobile dealer for over 40 years.

The KFZ Wirtschaft pays the experienced industry professional a visit to the location on Langenlebarnerstrasse in Tulln. And there he also meets Daniel Kapeller, Austrian sales manager at AkzoNobel. The Pfaller car dealership has been a partner of AkzoNobel since May 9, 2016. Pfaller is looked after by district manager Ewald Munk, who has been working at AkzoNobel for a good 25 years. This fact connects the two companies; staff turnover is extremely low. And that is an indication of a healthy company.
Valued partner Franz Pfaller values AkzoNobel's support and sees his cooperation partner as much more than a paint supplier.

"For example, I really appreciate the training that AkzoNobel offers us. There is a lot of profit for everyday work," says Pfaller in an interview with KFZ Wirtschaft. "A change in paint provider usually presents a company with major challenges. In this case, the professional changeover process meant that the switch went back to normal operations almost seamlessly. The exact color accuracy alone has given us an enormous increase in efficiency in the painting process."
