The series will include five cross-brand training modules. These are intended to help painters and workshops expand their understanding of repair processes and achieve better operational results. Produced by 3M and Axalta, brand-agnostic and easy-to-understand training videos set a new standard for sharing expertise in the industry. The first three training modules in the series, focused on optimizing process productivity, efficiency and quality of refinishing, are scheduled for global release on December 2, 2024. The modules will be accessible via the 3M Collision Repair Academy and Axalta Academy platforms. The training content will also be available on 3M and Axalta's social media channels. Additional training modules on safety and sustainability will be provided in 2025. The five training modules will be available in German, English, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish and Spanish.

“At 3M, we believe training is an essential tool that should be viewed as a reinvestment in company success,” said Dave Gunderson, president of the Automotive Aftermarket Division at 3M. "Our commitment is to act as a comprehensive resource for training solutions in the industry to continually promote workshop productivity, efficiency and quality. This new series of training content in partnership with Axalta further demonstrates that commitment." Troy Weaver, President of Global Refinish at Axalta, said: "We are very proud to partner with our long-time partner 3M on this initiative. It sets a new standard for sharing expertise within the industry. Together we are building a better future not only for our company, but for the entire industry."
