Come together what belongs together
With the adhesives and sealants from Sika and the abrasives from sia Abrasives, AKZO NOBEL relies on an extremely renowned manufacturer. As a supplement to our own PCE efficiency concept.

Come together what belongs together
It goes without saying that our paint meets the highest quality standards, we don't need to do any convincing in this regard," emphasizes Daniel Kapeller, Sales Manager at Akzo Nobel Austria, in the KFZ Wirtschaft interview. Optimum technical support is essential. "Speed, no loss of time and efficiency, these are the essential requirements of our customers," says Kapeller. Keyword: PCE. Akzo Nobel's Process Centered Environment concept primarily stands for efficiency in body and paint shops. This is achieved through a holistic approach that, in addition to optimally designed processes and the elimination of waste, also takes employee motivation into account. PCE is extremely far-reaching; nothing is left to chance in daily work procedures.

THE COOPERATION
With adhesives and sealants from Sika and abrasives from sia Abrasives, Akzo Nobel offers a wide range of products that complement PCE perfectly. At Sika, the entire repair area is being strengthened and handled by a team of experts. Products, sales and technicians as well as the auto glass, automotive OE segment and the entire business area of part GmbH will be combined and expanded. In order to optimize processes for both customers and partners, Sika is investing in the new Automotive Repair team, which will now be responsible for the entire repair area in Germany and Austria. In addition to the adhesives and sealants from Sika, the abrasives from sia Abrasives will continue to be an important focus - as was previously the case at part GmbH. The motto: everything from a single source. In concrete terms, this means: The combination of Sika adhesives and sealants as well as abrasives from sia Abrasives, which customers previously received from part GmbH, will be continued and expanded by a new team. The companies dealing with car glass, bodywork, paint and mechanics thus receive OE-level solutions from a single source. Thomas Farago, Sales Manager Austria Automotive Repair, emphasizes: "In the automotive sector, we are a leading supplier of structural adhesives, both in series and in the repair sector. Every third windscreen is replaced with adhesives from Sika." The 19-person field service team covers the entire automotive repair market in Germany and Austria. “By bundling our strengths and competencies, we offer independent companies and workshop chains the best support through individual problem solutions, training and support,” explains Sebastian Zaufal, sales consultant for technology in Austria.

THE VIP CHECK
Increasing technological complexity, falling repair volumes, changing clients and growing time and cost pressure are the major current challenges. The part GmbH team supports the companies on site, directly and specifically with the so-called VIP check. The companies are promised that their grinding processes will be noticeably and guaranteed improved. Otherwise, VIP Check participants will receive 50 percent of the material used without charge. Backing plates, strips, blockboard and discboard are provided free of charge. Companies can put the new FiboTec abrasive material from sia Abrasives and the service of the part technicians through their paces for two months. The definitive goal is the “comprehensible optimization of work processes”. To do this, the application engineers carry out an inventory when the VIPCheck starts, then support the company in its day-to-day work and finally provide an analysis.
