Glasurit as exclusive paint partner

Among the current vehicle models that have been dented by hailstones or have been victims of a crash, there are also many precious automobiles waiting to have their sheet metal repaired or beautified in the spacious halls of the Hochenthanner body and paint shop. Herbert Hochenthanner, who today runs the family business founded by his parents in 1964 together with his sister Ingrid, proudly shows the new 800 square meter workshop hall, which is equipped with the most modern equipment for body repairs. Cars, vans, vintage cars and motorcycles are brought back into shape here in Rust in Tullnerfeld, 40 to 50 vehicles per week. What catches the eye, for example, is a pea-green VW Derby from the 1970s and a magnificent Lancia Flavia, whose right side shines in a shiny, untreated sheet metal shine. Using a fragment of the sill, Herbert Hochenthanner shows how the rust has already worked its way deep into the interior of the classic. “We have earned a good reputation in the classic car scene, but we also count large car dealerships such as BMW Plattner in Langenrohr near Tulln among our customers,” says the body expert, pleased about the booming business. Many smaller vehicle repair shops in the area that don't want to afford their own paint shop also send their customers to Hochenthanner.

GLASURIT AS A PARTNER

1.8 tons of car paint are processed at Hochenthanner every year. The exclusive paint supplier is Glasurit. The BASF brand is represented by commercial consultant Michael Wolf. He has looked after Herbert Hochenthanner for twelve years now and is now on friendly terms with him. “We not only supply paints, but also accessories, including our own brand Rodim,” explains Wolf, putting the total order volume at around 200,000 euros annually. Painting work includes complete body painting as well as minor damage repairs. Glasurit has developed its “Classic Car Colors” program for painting vintage and classic cars, which Herbert Hochenthanner also likes to use. “The color measurement works very well and the colors can be adjusted precisely,” says Hochenthanner, explaining his motivation for remaining loyal to Glasurit. He particularly likes the Glasurit Color Profi System CPS with its color piping that is coated with original paint. The front of a card shows the respective color as a spray pattern, and on the back there is a barcode and color code that the painter can use to find the appropriate mixing formula on the computer. The positive feedback from customers also reinforces Hochenthanner's brand loyalty. “The high quality is reflected in the fact that the paintwork maintains a consistent shine even after several years.”
