Michael Bachlinger's biography is an extremely interesting one. He originally trained as a cook and waiter. Later, parallel to his work as a machine fitter, Bachlinger increasingly began to turn his hobby into a profession. He completed numerous airbrushing and painting training courses and began practicing design and airbrushing professionally in 2003. Then things happen in quick succession. A one-man business becomes a business with one additional employee. Bachlinger then sets up a paint shop in the industrial park in Judendorf-Straßengel. He is now a master of body construction technology and automotive technology and runs a successful paint shop and plumbing shop in the business park and, since January, also a car repair shop.

“Like my own vehicle”

“Just as I would like to have my own vehicle repaired, I repair my customers’ vehicles,” says Michael Bachlinger in an interview with KFZ Wirtschaft. A total of six employees clearly enjoy working in “Michis Custom Color”: “Right from the start, it was particularly important to me that we had an excellent working atmosphere,” explains Bachlinger. “When things are on fire, everyone pulls together.” It is important that everyone gives their all and that they can rely on each other. Working is undoubtedly fun. Bachlinger himself works on average from eight in the morning to 10 p.m. “But not on the weekend. My wife would put up a tree.” His wife, Gabi Bachlinger, is responsible for administrative work as well as bookkeeping and accounting in the company. What is probably unique and definitely interesting: the boss makes sure that things are democratic. “For example, when we hire a new employee, everyone in the team has a say and ultimately a vote is taken,” explains Bachlinger. 

Cooperation with Nexa Autocolor

Choosing the right paint provider is also a question of trust. Since the beginning, Michael Bachlinger has trusted Nexa Autocolor and his supervisor Manfred Windisch (Styria area manager at Nexa Autocolor). The master painter with over 30 years of professional experience has been working in the field since 2009 and is responsible for the entire Styria as area manager for Nexa Autocolor. He visits Michael Bachlinger's company in person at least once a month, but the two are in constant contact by telephone anyway. For Bachlinger, both the highest product quality and optimal service are essential. "It worked brilliantly with Manfred Windisch right from the start. If there's anything, he's there straight away."

From minor repairs to total losses, all orders are processed quickly and professionally. “From the primer to the top coat, we only use high-quality products,” says Michael Bachlinger. Our own paint mixing system makes it possible to mix all paints on all vehicle types. The exhibits at Design Painting are regularly presented and awarded at international trade fairs. By the way, painting is also carried out for numerous renowned car dealers who trust in the professionalism of “Michis Custom Color”. In any case, the fact is: Michael Bachlinger's business was continuously developed and perfected.
