The green” car wash

A modern Christ brand car wash, two lance car wash stations, nine e-charging stations and a playground – a sustainable car wash and refueling center for the mobility of tomorrow is currently being built next to the Sinhuber car dealership in Gföhl. “I haven’t been able to offer my children something to pass the time in the car while charging – that’s what gave me the idea of the playground,” says managing director Christoph Sinhuber. In his company on the outskirts of Gföhl, used cars of all brands are sold, serviced and repaired. The electricity is generated by a photovoltaic system and the heating is done using a heat pump. There is no question that the new washing center should be as ecological and resource-saving as possible. Sinhuber has hired the specialists from Inowa wastewater technology GmbH, who are currently sinking a fully biological water treatment system into the ground using the “System C Bio”.

“Our system provides above-ground filtration and underground biological treatment,” explains Josef Entrance from Inowa. The big advantage of the system, which does not require any chemicals: blowing air into the bioreactor is enough to start the natural disinfection of the washing water. “The bacteria practically eat each other,” explains entrance. A connected high-performance oil separator, also from Inowa, does the rest. Conclusion: The treatment reduces water consumption by an impressive 95 percent, the washing water remains crystal clear, and gray streaks after washing are no longer an issue.
