Brabus - It's all a question of glue
Brabus, a world-famous tuner of real horsepower monsters, uses special adhesives for window glazing. Why? We clarify.

Brabus - It's all a question of glue
The premium independent aftermarket today requires high-performance window adhesives for vehicle window replacement that are capable of withstanding higher wind loads, enhancing torsional rigidity and maximizing occupant protection in the event of a crash. Brabus, the largest independent high-performance tuner, relies on Henkel as an adhesive partner for its material needs for safe and advanced windshield installations in the segment of sophisticated supercar tuning and classic car restorations. This includes choosing Teroson windshield adhesives and the Teroson Bond Windscreen Adhesive Application System. To support body and vehicle repair shops, Henkel offers a complete, one-stop preparation and application package that facilitates efficient window replacement - including removal tools, cleaners, primers, adhesives and accessories.
Windshields have evolved from simple glazing applications to integrated and safety-relevant structural components. Adhesives for direct glazing must therefore meet an expanded range of performance requirements – from basic flexibility for vibration absorption to hermetic sealing and structural reinforcement to the required occupant protection in advanced modern vehicles.
Matthias Biegel, Regional Technology and Engineer at Henkel, adds: "Thanks to our long-standing, close relationships with Brabus, we are constantly developing our adhesive portfolio. In addition to the very important processing properties, the safety of the occupants is a priority for us. For this reason, we not only test our premium windshield adhesives under normal conditions, but also, like all Henkel adhesives, test them under significantly higher loads in our standardized test procedure to ensure the greatest possible occupant protection."
"Brabus is determined to raise performance standards a level higher. We have been working with Henkel for several years and rely on Teroson's proven reliability for our refinements. Our goal is to significantly exceed the performance characteristics of production vehicles. The innovative adhesive and application system ensures that our windshield assemblies can withstand more demanding operating conditions and meet our specifically higher requirements," says Sven Gramm, Director of Communications at Brabus.
