BASF paints for Ineos

With the premium refinish paint brands Glasurit and R-M, BASF brings expertise and innovative paint products to the project to develop requirements for the global workshop network for the Ineos Grenadier. Ineos Automotive and BASF's Coatings division recently signed an agreement to develop a global program for bodywork and refinish work. The partners are thus entering into a long-term strategic partnership that goes beyond the industry standard in the areas of bodywork and refinishing work. It includes the provision of sustainable refinishes, expertise, the latest digital tools for color matching and training. “We are very pleased that in the coming years we will be working with BASF to develop a sustainable, cutting-edge paint program based on the highest quality standards for refinishes on premium vehicles,” explains Steve Graham, global head of aftersales, Ineos Automotive.

BASF ensures that the most sustainable and efficient repair processes are used in Ineos' workshop network in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific. “We will align and complement Ineos' vision with our own strategic principles to build a new, strong and rewarding partnership, leveraging our highly innovative solutions portfolio that has now established itself as an industry standard,” said Chris Titmarsh, Senior Vice President, Global BASF Automotive Refinish Coatings Solutions. Since 2021, Ineos has been working with BASF Coatings as a surface technology partner for its first off-road vehicle, the Ineos Grenadier, which is manufactured in Hambach, France. With the new agreement, BASF is expanding its partnership with Ineos to include the development and implementation of a body and paint program for the Ineos Grenadier and the recently introduced Quartermaster Double Cab Pick-up variant.
