BASF cooperates with Toyota

BASF Coatings and Toyota Motor Europe have signed an agreement to develop the Toyota Body&Paint program for Europe, forming the basis for a long-term strategic collaboration between the two companies for the Toyota and Lexus brands. As part of the partnership, repair paints from the premium brands Glasurit and R-M are used on the European market. The Toyota Body&Paint program is designed with the help of BASF's body shop consulting service, Body Shop BOOST, and gives participating shops access to the cloud-based Refinity® platform for digital color matching, business and training solutions. Through the collaboration, BASF supports its partner Toyota in achieving individual sustainability goals while at the same time ensuring the highest quality standards in paint work on Toyota's premium vehicles.

Continuous improvements

BASF Coatings will ensure that the most sustainable and efficient refinishing is carried out in Europe. A strong focus is on supporting the Toyota network and expanding the business opportunities of participating workshops. This all goes hand in hand with the principle of continuous improvement. "We are honored to deepen our relationship with Toyota Motor Europe and make our premium refinish brands Glasurit and R-M available to the European workshop network. We are setting the benchmark for refinishing in the mobility of the future," says Chris Jackman, Director Global Automotive Refinish Coatings at BASF.
