The BASF color collection “On Volude” is the result of a collaboration between human and artificial intelligence.
BASF brings new colors
Every year, BASF's Coatings division designers create a new color collection to inspire automotive designers worldwide. The current On Volude collection has a strong focus on sustainability and functionality. Because customers rely on BASF's color collection to develop colors for future models, these new colors will be on the road in three to five model years. The designers chose colors that were previously atypical for the automotive sector: light neutral shades, pastel mid-tones and light achromatic shades. Beige tones and warm tones between red and orange expand the palette. In addition, On Volude gives the colors a tactile component with matt and structured surfaces. The On Volude color collection is made from sustainable and recycled raw materials and is lidar and radar compatible.
135 years ago, Max Winkelmann laid the foundation for his company, from which the globally successful automotive refinish brand Glasurit emerged. Winkelmann's revolutionary idea of combining pigments and binders in a single, ready-to-use product made processing easier at the time and significantly increased the durability of the paint. This philosophy – developing products that make it easy for users to achieve first-class results – is still the basis of Glasurit's success today. Some milestones:

- 2020 stellte Glasurit mit der Reihe 100 das fortschrittlichste Wasserbasislacksystem vor, das hohe Prozessgeschwindigkeit mit ökologischen Vorteilen kombiniert.
