Axalta cooperates with Solera
Since 2005, the US holding company Solera has been offering software solutions for calculating damages worldwide under the brand name “Audatex”. The company has now announced a strategic partnership with Axalta, one of the world's largest manufacturers of automotive paints. Through this strategic partnership, Axalta's conventional and Fast Cure Low Energy (FCLE) refinish systems will be integrated into Solera's Sustainable Estimatics platform, allowing Axalta customers to analyze the carbon emissions of their repair processes. Axalta is the first refinish manufacturer to provide Solera with data to calculate CO2 emissions. The Axalta-Beleaf portfolio includes environmentally conscious products and innovative tools that help body shops minimize their environmental footprint while increasing their efficiency. Solera Sustainable Estimatics for Paint will support Axalta's commitment to sustainability and the Beleaf initiative.
“We are excited to partner with Solera and bring a new solution to market,” said Troy Weaver, president of Global Refinish at Axalta. “This technology aligns with Axalta’s ongoing commitment to sustainability as we aim to become carbon neutral by 2040. By accurately calculating carbon emissions per repair, our customers can make data-driven decisions to reduce their carbon footprint while improving their bottom line.” Due to the EU directive on sustainability reporting, companies are obliged to record and report their emissions by 2025. Sustainable Estimatics for Paint makes it easier to analyze Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions and enables companies to present them credibly. Body shops can use their dashboards to analyze the entire collision repair footprint and make comparisons to regional, country and industry data.
