The new Flux touchless portal car wash from Christ ensures a clean car wash without any brush intervention. This is intended to appeal primarily to car wash customers who prefer to clean their vehicles using self-service high-pressure washing stations or by hand. “Contactless washing is a gentle alternative to classic brush washing when faced with challenges such as a high sand content,” explains Christ Sales Manager Cristian Sassanelli Garcia. Wash park operators can use the Flux to expand their range of services in combination with classic gantry car washes or self-service car washes. The visual appearance of the system was designed like the Christ car washes Cadis, Vega and Alpha and linked to the functions of the machines.

Brushless washing uses a multi-stage chemical process to effectively dissolve dirt. Alkaline chemicals dissolve insect remains and pollen, acidic chemicals dissolve rust and brake dust. The vehicle is then cleaned with 70 bar high pressure. To remove stubborn dirt, oscillating spot jet nozzles are used in the high-pressure roof system that follows the sides and contours. Wheel washing is carried out as standard with a brush and two integrated high-pressure nozzles, but can also optionally be carried out with a touchless wheel washer. Osmosis rinsing and contour-following drying ultimately ensure a stain-free washing result.
