In the fast lane
BY WOLFGANG BAUER
Lucky Car bought Midas in the spring. All nine branches, including the 55 employees, were taken over. In the course of this, competencies were brought together, as Ostoja Matic, boss of Lucky Car, emphasizes. Lucky Car is a specialist in paint and bodywork, Midas primarily offers vehicle repairs. Lucky Car now has over 40 locations across Austria. Before the summer, the company caused a stir again with its 2019 apprentice offensive. A total of 120 training positions are offered for apprentices. We are looking for young girls and boys who want to become plumbers, painters, car mechanics or body shop technicians.
Whether dent, rim or paint repair, repair of body damage, replacement or repair of windshields or vehicle mechanics for all brands including §57a inspection, Lucky Car offers a wide range of products. Optimal customer service is the company philosophy. This also includes replacement cars and pick-up and delivery services. Daniel Friedl has been in charge of the St. Pölten location for exactly a year. A total of four employees strive to ensure the well-being of customers on 400 m² - the location was converted in the winter and doubled in size. Flexibility and maximum customer orientation are essential to Friedl. “We offer 100% cost accuracy, our cost estimates are transparent,” explains the managing director. Interested customers could also take part in the repair work. You have nothing to hide. On average, between eight and ten vehicles are serviced per day and then handed over to the customer, perfectly cleaned inside and out. Skilled workers are difficult to find, says Friedl, which is why training is so important. An apprentice is currently being trained. There is a cooperation with the Wi-Fi company located opposite, and an intern was recently taken on.
EISENSTADT LOCATION
The location on Mattersburgerstrasse in Eisenstadt has existed since July 2018. Roland Lieb and his team, two plumbers, a painter, a master automotive technician and two apprentices, strive to offer customers tailor-made solutions to their problems. The boss is particularly proud of the digital wheel alignment stand from Nussbaum, of which there are only three in the whole of Burgenland. And the Blowtherm paint booth with LED lighting. “All of our equipment is ultra-modern and state-of-the-art,” says Roland Lieb. In addition to the good atmosphere within the team, Lieb attaches great importance to ensuring that the workshop is always sparkling clean. “Customers increasingly want to be involved in repair work. They are interested in it,” says Lieb. In any case, clean workplaces are the business card of the company. The boss is also fit when it comes to marketing. He is active on Facebook, as well as advertisements in regional media and, most recently, commercials in a nearby McDonald's branch. Given the numerous car dealerships and workshops on Mattersburgerstrasse in Eisenstadt, the competition is definitely fierce. Roland Lieb and his Lucky Car business are definitely on the right track in terms of awareness and competence.
