Free data access via mega macs
Breathe a sigh of relief for independent workshops: mega macs users will be able to diagnose secured vehicles easily and simply in the future.

Free data access via mega macs
Security Gateway, Certificate Based Automotive Security, Protection of Vehicle Diagnostics, Central Gateway, CAN Gateway - these terms refer to systems that are intended to protect modern vehicles against unauthorized access. This is complex for companies working across brands: authentication in the respective OE portal, the installation of activation software and the acquisition of digital authorizations in the form of certificates or keys clear the way into the control devices.
So that independent workshops can work competitively in the future, Hella Gutmann has introduced a universal key for legally unlocking secured vehicles with the new CSM (Cyber Security Management) function mega macs -Software implemented. Instead of registering individually in each OE portal and undergoing tests, mega macs users only need to authenticate themselves once with Hella Gutmann (via passport or ID card). The mega macs user then has free rein to work on vehicles with a safety lock in the usual diagnostic depth.
The mega macs user is also spared the burden of loading and installing manufacturer-specific decryption software onto a notebook or PC, because Hella Gutmann has implemented all the necessary software components for exchanging vehicle-related security certificates with the manufacturers' responsible servers and backends in the mega macs software.
Cyber Security Management will automatically be available to every mega macs user starting with the update to software version 60. The first integrated brands include FCA and Mercedes-Benz, followed by VW and Kia. Hyundai, Nissan and Renault are expected to follow shortly.
