François Provost becomes the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Renault S.A. and Chairman of Renault s.a.s., the group's operating company.

With the appointment of François Provost as of July 31, 2025 for an initial period of four years, the Board of Directors of the Renault Group, chaired by Jean-Dominique Senard, is following the recommendation of the Governance & Remuneration Committee. Previously serving as Chief Procurement, Partnerships and Public Affairs Officer, Provost is an experienced leader with 23 years within the Renault Group. “I am confident that François Provost will lead the Renault Group with prudence and determination in an environment that requires equal leadership, strategic vision and innovation,” says Jean-Dominique Senard, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Renault Group. “I will use all my energy and passion to contribute, together with our 100,000 employees, trade, suppliers and partners, to the development of our group, which has been one of the flagships of French industry for 127 years,” said François Provost on the occasion of his appointment. The new Renault CEO was born in 1968, is a graduate of the École Polytechnique and chief engineer in the Corps des Mines.
