New head of Mercedes-Benz Vans

On March 1, 2025, Thomas Klein will take over the management of Mercedes Benz Vans, succeeding Mathias Geisen, who will be appointed to the Board of Management of Mercedes Benz Group AG on February 1, 2025. “Thanks to his broad international experience with market responsibility in the Middle East, South Korea, South Africa and Germany, Thomas Klein is an exceptionally experienced manager and therefore the ideal person to lead Mercedes Benz Vans,” says Ola Källenius, CEO of Mercedes Benz Group AG. Thomas Klein (46) joined what was then DaimlerChysler AG in 1999 and started his career at Mercedes Benz Vans at the Düsseldorf plant before finally moving to DaimlerChrysler headquarters as a marketing specialist. Since July 2023 he has been Head of Sales Planning & Product Management Mercedes Benz Cars and Integrated Program Planning in Stuttgart. He is responsible for central and global Mercedes Benz passenger car sales planning and control as well as pricing for Mercedes-Benz vehicles worldwide.
